Musta Been A Ghost – Proxima Parada

Proxima Parada’s song “Musta Been A Ghost” is a great song for the days ahead, with summer winding down. Upbeat and soulful, this is a great song to welcome in the weekend or maybe even say goodbye to one on a Sunday afternoon.

Lyrically, I think this song is about reaching out to someone and not getting the response you were expecting or hoping for, or any response at all for that matter. I think the lyricist is expressing his frustration with being left hanging or ghosted by someone he thought he had a connection with. I also hope the song namedrops Robert Frost. Pretty cool stuff.

I don’t know any other songs by Proxima, but I really dig the sound of this one and hopefully will check some more out in the future.
