Hysteria – Muse

Muse is one of the best three-piece bands of all time, period. Put on a Muse album and the sounds that those three guys are able to create would make you think there are 10 people playing on every song. Amazing musicianship and insane levels of creativity is how I would describe these fellas from across the pond.
While I think that Muse certainly has a flair for the dramatic, which I can certainly enjoy and appreciate, they also have some absolute rockers and barn burners. Case in point, Hysteria. Out of the gate, starting with one of the best and most iconic basslines ever, that leads into a screaming guitar riff and is driven by some really groovy drum work. This is one of those songs that is impossible not to move to, or at least get in some sort of head nod thing going. Hysteria is one of those songs that is best listened to loud. Great vocals in Matt Bellamy’s signature style, and I think that lyrically this song is pretty straightforward, about wanting something or someone that you just can’t have, and it’s driving you crazy.
I would highly recommend watching the live performance
