In a previous post, I talked about Childish Gambino (Donald Glover) and how much I enjoy his projects. He has cited Alabama Shakes as an influence before and even covered one of Brittany’s solo songs, “Stay High“. I say all this to point out the similarities (or in this case, influence) between the Shakes’ song “Gimme All Your Love” (my all-time favorite by them) and the song of his I featured, “Me and Your Mama.” Just a really cool connection, and I would love to hear a collaboration or perhaps even a full album made by these two. Insane levels of talent and creativity.
