Composed by the legendary Isaac Hayes for one of the most iconic movies of all time, this is one of the most sampled albums in music history. I decided to go with the instrumental “Bumpy’s Lament” to feature in today’s post, as it perfectly represents soulful vibes that it emanates. It’s just under two minutes, but it contains one of the most recognizable riffs in music, especially in terms of being sampled.

Chill and vintage, this song makes me want to pour a stiff drink and stare solemnly at the sunset over the city from my balcony on a Friday night.
