What A Fool Believes – The Doobie Brothers
Happy April Fool’s Day! I had the pleasure of seeing the Doobie Brothers about a year ago, and it was one of the most fun concerts I have ever attended. The band has certainly still got it, and Michael McDonald is still out of this world vocally.
Co-written by McDonald and Kenny Loggins, “What A Fool Believes” was actually released by Loggins five months before the Doobies. This song is one of the all-time greats, and encompasses the music that is often called “yacht rock.” I love it. The falsettos and grooviness of the song are unmatched, but it still maintains a laid-back and relaxed feel.
