This began as an idea I had about making some sort of “old (in this case, young) man yells at cloud” style essay or video essay about Lynyrd Skynyrd and how I feel that they are one of the most criminally underrated bands of all time. Eventually, that idea evolved into a desire to share my love of various types of music, and my thoughts on albums that I feel have impacted me in some way. My tentative plan is to have a song of the day, Monday thru Friday, with blurbs of varying lengths about why I like the song. I would also like to have a once or twice monthly album review or opinion on records I love. My main goal with this blog is to keep a record of my ever-evolving taste in music, while also allowing myself to revisit songs and albums that have influenced me throughout my life. I may occasionally write some opinionated pieces like the aforementioned Lynyrd Skynyrd idea, but I don’t want to look at things through too much of a critical lens. I believe that all music that’s created is a beautiful thing, whether I personally enjoy it or not, someone out there does.
